Identity in Christ

I will be sharing selective passages from God's word about our identity in Christ.

One definition of identity is set of characteristics by which someone is recognizable or known.

Identity can also be defined as the quality or condition of being the same as someone else.

Roman 10:17 states "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

I pray as we meditate on the following scriptures from God's word, that we will truly identify with our Elder Brother Jesus Christ taking on, and adopting more of His personage.

1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Romans 8:14-17 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
